Our Team

Andrea Fischer is a public health professional with over 20 years experience in the management of health care delivery and biomedical research.  She is the Director of Community Based Drug and Alcohol Responses for cohealth, the largest provider of community-led primary health care in Victoria.  Prior to this, she was the Chief Operating Officer of the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity.

Andrea has a strong background in the establishment of large scale and innovative programs, having worked on the operating systems of the Doherty Institute as well as designs for the Australian Institute for Infectious Disease and the Cumming Global Centre for Pandemic Therapeutics.  She also has a background in community engagement, international development and the delivery of ethically designed public health programs.
